Farm-to-Table Freshness: A Key Ingredient in Every Farmer Boys' Franchise
October 1, 2023
At Farmer Boys, our commitment to sourcing ingredients from local farms provides a strong foundation for our franchisees. By sourcing locally, our franchisees tap into a network of trusted partners, ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality ingredients making Farmer Boys an attractive choice for customers.
Our focus goes beyond great food and towards building a strong community, supporting local families and bringing the farm to our tables. Those who are a part of our family from our customers to our franchisees, they know they are members of a brand rooted in its commitment to quality food. By sourcing locally, customers feel a stronger sense of connection to their local Farmer Boys, encouraging them to come back to support not only the restaurant but the farms providing the fresh ingredients.
Sourcing locally not only provides higher quality food for our customers, but it also cost effective. Because our suppliers are within the communities we serve, franchisees can minimize costs of transportation. This saves franchisees money while drawing in more guests who value Farmer Boys’ continued support for local businesses.
Let’s look at some of the local sources that fuel our farm-fresh menu and are key members of the Farmer Boys family.
Fries – Columbia River Basin Our Always Crispy Fries® are sourced from family farms in the Columbia River Basin and are grown over a nine-month period surrounded by the region's ideal conditions.
Orange Juice – Beaumont, CA Every sip of our orange juice is thanks to Perricone Farms in Western North America. The ripe oranges are sent to a plant in Beaumont, CA, where they're pressed and bottled to deliver the freshest, most flavorful juices to our customers.
Burger Buns – Mira Loma, CA The buns for our award-winning burgers are crafted locally by Galasso's Bakery in Mira Loma, California, which first opened in 1968 as a one-room, family-owned bakery. Now, they’ve expanded to a full-line bakery, specializing in hearth-baked sourdough, sliced bread, hamburger buns, and a range of artisanal breads with a line-up of some of the world’s most skilled bakers.
Coffee – Southern CA We source 100% Colombian Arabica coffee beans from Lingle Brothers, roasted in Southern California. Third generation family owner James Lingle shares our passion for quality and flavor. Once at our restaurants, we freshly grind the beans for every pot of coffee in house.
Eggs – Arizona Since 2016, Farmer Boys sources 100% cage-free eggs from Hickman Farms in Arizona. These eggs meet our standards for quality and support a growing demand by consumers for responsible and humane sourcing.
By embracing farm-to-table and local sourcing, franchisees have the opportunity to build relationships with loyal customers who deeply resonate with our values. Farmer Boys’ continued support for local farms and companies also create strong partnerships, alleviating any concerns franchisees may have about their supply chains. Our franchisees' commitment to sourcing locally at their Farmer Boys locations foster trust with our customers who savor our quality ingredients and reinforce our brand's authenticity. It's a win-win scenario where franchisees, customers, and local partners all contribute to the success and growth of Farmer Boys.
