FARMER BOYS INTRODUCES NEW ‘CRACKED FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH’ FOR A LIMITED TIME
The Farm-Fresh Fast Casual Restaurant Aims to Egg-cite Guests with a Sunny-Side Up Twist on Fan-favorite Chicken Sandwiches Now through January 22nd, 2024
RIVERSIDE, California (October 31, 2023) – Farmer Boys®, the Southern California-based fast casual restaurant chain known for its award-winning burgers and exceptional service, hatched a plan to elevate its fried chicken sandwiches with the launch of the new ‘Cracked Fried Chicken Sandwich’ now through January 22nd, 2024. Each sandwich is made with a hand-cracked, over-easy fried egg atop an all-natural chicken breast, double-battered for extra crispiness, seasoned with a proprietary blend of spices and fried to perfection, topped with bacon and tomato on a locally-baked toasted brioche bun.
Farmer Boys is one of the first fast casual brands to crack the mold by adding a fresh fried egg to the already fan-favorite egg-cellent fried chicken sandwich. Farmer Boys’ eggs are supplied by Hickman Egg Ranch, part of Hickman Family Farms in Buckeye, Arizona, and delivered fresh from the farm to each Farmer Boys location across California, Nevada and Arizona. The concept has partnered with the family owned business for the past XX years, and all eggs are cage-free from grass-fed chicken.
“Our newest limited time menu item challenges the age old riddle of ‘what came first, the chicken or the egg?’” said Joe Adney, vice president and chief marketing officer at Farmer Boys. “While burgers will continue to be Farmer Boys’ claim-to-face, our R&D team has been focused on building up the Farmer Boys name in the Chicken Wars; first with the launch of the Loaded Fried Chicken Sandwich in 2021, followed by the new Kickin’ Chicken Strips earlier this year, and now with our latest and greatest Cracked Fried Chicken Sandwich! We’re egg-cited to be one of the first fast casual restaurants to scramble up the Chicken Wars by offering this sandwich with a unique spin, and we’re so proud of our commitment to farm fresh, grass-fed, cage-free eggs from Hickman Farms, that we saw this as an opportunity to let our eggs shine!”
For over 40 years, Farmer Boys has set the standard for serving high quality, farm fresh food in a fast casual setting. The menu consists of award-winning burgers, cooked-to-order breakfast served all day, hand-chopped salads, specialty sandwiches, and more, all prepared with quality ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible. Produce is delivered fresh and whole to each restaurant every morning, meaning it doesn’t sit in a warehouse for weeks and can be enjoyed at its pinnacle of crispness and flavor. By going the extra mile for delicious, flavorful food, Farmer Boys’ guests can count on fresh, cooked-to-order meals every time they visit.
