Over 1,100 Kids Enjoy the 26th Annual Children’s Day at Loma Linda University
LOMA LINDA, CA. May 18, 2011 The rain didn’t keep the kids away from the 26th Annual Children’s Day at LLUCH today. Over 1,100 children came out to the free event, sponsored by Farmer Boys. Attendees were taken through various demonstrations on fire and water safety and different activities teaching them about hospital and health awareness. Several hospital employees and Loma Linda University (LLU) students volunteered their time throughout the day working the booths and activities for the kids. In the photo, Lisa, from the LLU School of Nursing, teaches six-year-old Maya how to use a stethoscope as she listens to her teddy bear, Jessica’s, heart beat as part of the Teddy Bear clinic.
