FARMER BOYS AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO TEN EMPLOYEES FOR THEIR PROFESSIONAL GROWTH PROGRAM.

On Thursday, October 4, 2012, Farmer Boys restaurants awarded ten employees a Merit scholarship in amounts ranging from $500- $1000. These “star employees” have shown superior commitment to the restaurant industry and will pursue their trade at respected institutions. Scholarships can be applied to cover tuition fees and/or other education expenses at qualifying academic institutions. 22 Restaurants throughout the Riverside, Orange and San Bernardino Counties participated in the Farmer Boys 2012 Professional Growth Employee Incentive Scholarship Program. A minimum scholastic achievement had to be maintained in order to be eligible. Farmer Boys firmly believes that, in the current business landscape and climate, it is necessary to continue to increase business acumen, culinary and hospitality management skills and education.

“Our future growth as a brand is in large part reliant upon our ability to continue to identify the leaders in our restaurants and foster their growth, education and future advancement opportunities. FARMER BOYS SERVES OVER 3000 BURGERS AT THE 5TH ANNUAL BELIEVE WALK – REDLANDS, CA

On Sunday, October 7, 2012, Farmer Boys restaurants participated in The 5^th Annual Believe Walk in Redlands, CA. The 5k and 10K walk which raised funds to benefit cancer patients and their families wound through the city neighborhoods of Redlands. Participants sported personalized T-shirts supporting loved ones or friends who have died from this disease.

At the finish line, supporters visited several booths sponsored by local companies offering refreshments and food. Farmer Boys supported the cause by serving over 3,000 farm-to-table fresh cheeseburgers with a gracious smile of thanks to the participants.

“Farmer Boys is proud sponsor of the Believe Walk. A good number of our employees participated in the walk, to show our support. Working together, we can all help to make a difference in the lives of men, women and children who have been affected by cancer” said Ken Clark, President and Chief Operating Officer of Farmer Boys.
